Course Description

Physical Therapists have engaged in providing care using telehealth as a mode of delivery during the Public Health Emergency due to COVID-19. This is a new opportunity for many physical therapy providers to deliver care via telehealth. Payer policy has dramatically changed in a very short period of time. This course is designed to provide valuable information on deciding whether to deliver care via telehealth, describe best practices, review payer policies and rules, and provide coding guidance to comply with payer policy. By attending this course, you will gain knowledge of the payer policies in their current form, which should lead to faster claims processing and timely payment. The payer policies reviewed in this course focus on local commercial plans in the state and government plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. Following sixty minutes of information from members of the APTA Minnesota Payer Advocacy Workgroup, there will be time for Q & A. This course will be delivered using Zoom and recorded for future access.  You will be provided a link to the Zoom meeting as well as a password upon registration for this event.
