Program Requirements

PT and PTA program requirements vary. Check out each program’s website here or use The Physical Therapist Centralized Application Services (PTCAS) program requirements tool (PT programs only).

Note: In order to take the licensure exam, you must have graduated from a CAPTE-accredited program. Accreditation is an extensive review process conducted by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) to assure both that the quality of your coursework is high and that the program produces people qualified to serve the public. Make sure the program you select is accredited.
