About This Course
Rehabilitation professionals are proficient at managing pain as well as addressing impairments and movement dysfunction. However, a disparity exists in the terminal phases of injury recovery as to how best to prepare athletes for sport. Even with good intentions, an athlete can still be underprepared leading to suboptimal athletic readiness for their sport and potentially an increased risk of re-injury.
Unfortunately, there is little agreement in the literature on best practice in the later phases of rehab. Medical professionals must then look to strength & conditioning professionals and their research to guide the preparation of injured athletes.
This short course will provide the busy clinician with relevant and updated information on sport performance enhancement for direct athlete application in the clinic. Lecture and lab sessions will help clinicians integrate these strength & conditioning principles into practice.
