Parking

Metered Parking is available in Lots AA, F, Q and the MNDOT Centennial Building Ramps for $8 daily or an hourly rate. Metered parking is also available but limited. DO NOT Park in the Sears lots - YOU WILL BE TOWED!

Public Transportation

Metro Transit - The Green Line light rail offers a great, convenient option for transportation right to the doorstep of the Capitol. Arrive at the Capitol - Rice Street Station.

A light continental breakfast and coffee available.

Lunch will be on your own and options include:

- Food Trucks

SNAPSHOT OF THE DAY
8:00AM Check in at State Capitol Building (Star of the North Room, Basement, State Capitol)
-Presentation about MNPTA’s 2017 legislative priorities and advocacy skills that will prepare you to meet with your legislators.
Following the MNPTA Briefing  
- Meet up with others from your district so you can make a plan for the day.
- Plan who will talk during visits.
- Plan where and when you will meet throughout the day. We have space reserved in the Star of the North Room from 8am-12pm (you can leave coats, but we do not recommend leaving purses/wallets).
10:30AM-3PM: Meetings with Legislators.

After Your Legislative Visits
- Drop off legislator visit debriefing form.
- Write group thank you notes and return to your legislator’s office.
